CLEARANCE

It is very important to consult with your artist of any health issues, whether previous or current. You are NOT a good candidate for permanent makeup if you have any of the listed contradictions:

  • Under 18 years of age

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding

  • Affected by Aids, Lupus, HIV or Hepatitis

  • Epilepsy

  • Anaemia that is not controlled

  • History of keloid scarring

  • Diabetes, high/low blood pressure, or any heart conditions (must be controlled, doctor’s note required)

  • Radiotherapy or chemotherapy at any time within last 6 months (doctor’s note required)

  • Herpes (for lip blush service you are required to take anti-viral medication to prevent any outbreaks)

  • Must be off Accutane for 1 year

** Please be aware that your eyebrows will become very dark and begin to peel during the healing stages, which will take about 7-14 days. Book your appointments accordingly.

 

PRE-CARE

For Semi-Permanent Makeup

1-2 DAYS PRIOR:

-  No blood thinners such as alcohol, caffeine, tea, pops/sodas, energy drinks, aspirin, Advil or ibuprofen, etc 24-48 hours prior

No working out 24 hours before your appointment

- No CBD/marijuana use 24 hours prior

-  No fish oil, prenatal vitamins, nutritional shakes (Shakeology, etc), “Hair, Skin, Nail” supplements, niacin, vitamin E, B6, omega 3, gingko biloba, St. Johns Wort, evening primrose, 48 hours prior to your appointment

- Please also avoid eating spicy food before your appointment

1 WEEK PRIOR:

-  No extreme sun or tanning 1 week prior

-  No brow waxing, tinting, or threading 1 week prior (the more natural hair growth you have, the better!)

1 MONTH PRIOR:

No Retinol and Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) products, 4 weeks prior (also avoid on eyebrow area after appointment)

-  No facial injections or facial laser treatments 1 month prior to appointment and 1 month after

-  No microdermabrasion, glycolics, Retin-A, facials/chemical peels 4 weeks prior to appointment. Check your skincare products for anything that says "acid."

OTHER NOTES:

-  Please avoid booking during or near your menstrual cycle as it can increase pain sensitivity

-  Wash your hair before your appointment since hot showers, steam and water on the brow area is to be avoided during healing (7-14 days)

- Please have a meal or snack before your appointment to keep your blood sugar levels steady. This will also help ease any discomfort and make you less sensitive during your 4 hour appointment.
